 Carbon Monxide Alarm goes off in Burton Home Article Written: March 30, 2021 at 11:17 AM Erie Fire Department responded to a Carbon Monoxide alarm at a home in the 1900 block of Linwood Avenue in Burton. Erie Fire & Rescue team is looking to what caused the monoxide alarm to go off. Everybody in the home got outside safely and patiently waited for Erie Fire Department to arrive.   The fire department believe the cause was inside the house possibly caused by one of the appliances in the kitchen, Erie Fire Department will continue to investigate what exactly happened.

Where The Attempted Break-In Took Place 755 Tacoma Road Franklin Park, Erie, Pennsylvania Yesterday around 3:40 PM, Erie Police responded to a call for an attempted break-in in the 700 block of  Tacoma Road in the Franklin Park neighborhood of East Erie. Once Erie Police arrived, police were talking to a shaken up 41 year old female who told police what exactly happened. Maria, who wishes to keep her last name secret, told police that a black male who Maria claims she had no idea who it was, tried to break into her apartments by using a crowbar against the door, then tried opening her bedroom window with it as well. Maria was home at the time and was calling police while it was happening, her neighbors at the apartment in front of hers at 745 Tacoma Road saw what was happening and called police and yelled at the suspect to "Get away from here now or you will be shot!"

 Erie Police Have One Man in Custody Following a Shooting at a Burton Gas Station Article Written: March 24, 2021 at 5:44 PM After serving two search warrants, Erie Police have one person in custody and continue to question others following a shooting that took place on Monday afternoon. Emergency responders were called to the Speed Check Convenience Store and Gas Station in the 1500 block of Buffalo Road in Burton. Once they arrived on the scene, police found a 16-year-old victim with a gunshot wound. Police are saying the injury appears to be non life-threatening. Police took 16-year-old Abdullah Osamah Ismael into custody. He was charged under the Fisher Bill with aggravated assault, reckless endangering another person and related charges. Police are looking for Tayveon Gillespie. He is being charged under the Fisher Bill with criminal attempt at homicide and aggravated assault.

The home that was raided by Erie Police today. 2103 Woodlawn Avenue Diehl, Erie, Pennsylvania Today around 3:44 PM, Erie Police and Erie Swat Team raided a home in the 2100 block of Woodlawn Avenue & June Street in Diehl. Erie Swat Team broke into the home after nobody would answer the door and found tons of crystal meth, heroine and crack cocaine. Erie Police arrested 34 year old Lamario Cooley of East Erie as well as 29 year old Gabriel Ryder and 38 year old Ryan Winchester both of East Erie. Ryan took off running on Woodlawn Avenue towards Burton and was tackled by police quickly. Ambulances also had to arrive to the scene since Ryan told officers he felt like he needed an ambulance. Erie Police last week sent a off duty officer to the house to see if they could buy any drug products as the home was tipped to officers the following day, of course the plan worked and Erie Police arrested the suspect

The area where the shooting happened Burton Heights, East Erie At 12:02 PM, Erie County 911 reported to us that they have gotten a ton of calls regarding multiple shots fired and cars tires squealing in the Burton Heights neighborhood of East Erie. Erie Police were quickly dispatched to the scene and arrived to the 2000 block of Elm Street and East 22nd Street in Burton Heights. Erie Police then were quickly in a pursuit chasing down the dark Honda onto Fairmount Parkway & Broad Street when the suspects crashed into a fence in the 1400 block of Buffalo Road in Burton Heights. Erie Police arrested 19 year old Fred Lenzo and 29 year old Michael Claridge both of East Erie. Witnesses reported that Fred and Michael were part of the 1700 block of Linwood gang in Burton and started shooting at the homes in the 2000 block of Elm Street when 3 white cars pulled up on Fairmount

 Early Morning Shooting Occurs at Central Eastside Club Article Written: March 20, 2021 at 1:23 PM An early morning shooting happened at Huts Place club on the corner of East 21st Street and Parade Street in the Central Eastside neighborhood of East Erie. Three people were reported injured and Erie Police continues to investigate on what caused the shooting. The shooting happened around 2 am and according to witnesses, a man walked into the club and started shooting at everybody. Erie Police will continue to investigate.

Four Lots in the Burton/Burton Heights neighborhoods of East Erie have been causing problems with residents illegally dumping trash, furniture, and other random items. The first lot is the empty lot on the corner of East 26th Street & Downing Avenue in Burton. The empty lot was supposed to be the construction site of more townhomes being built under the name "Zoey Meadows" in 2012. The sign however has since been removed and there is now furniture, trash, boats and abandoned train trailers on the lot. The address of the lot is registered as 1800 to 1830 East 26th Street. BlurryRobot Retrocade is a video game store as well as an arcade. It’s one of the first arcades in East Erie since the 1990’s. “I wanted to open up an arcade in East Erie because this area is the most struggling part of the City of Erie, and having an arcade here is just the beginning of reviving the east side of Erie.” says the owner of BlurryRobot Retrocade. Three People Injured By Gunshots For Walking on Linwood Avenue in Burton  Article Written on: March 12, 2021 at 6:32 PM. At 6:25 PM, Erie County 911 revived multiple calls in the Burton neighborhood of East Erie for multiple gunshots and screaming. Erie Police responded to the 1500 block of Linwood Avenue & Camphausen Avenue and arrested 26 year old Danzo Lopez and 29 year old Miska Lernezo who both told officers they were the ones who shot the people. 3 people were injured from gunshots but the names haven’t been released yet, they were all life flighted to UPMC Hospital in Pittsburgh.  Upper Half of East Erie Nature Trail Park in Burton Heights, Put Up For Sale Article Written: March 11, 2021 at 10:48 AM The area of the park that has been put up for sale in Burton/Burton Heights. The upper part of East Erie Nature Trail Park has been finally put up for sale, the 2.72 acre lot of land is priced at $15,000 and the plans are for the lot to be used as housing development and business would be allowed as well if wanted. The park entrance at Woodlawn Avenue & June Street will be closed off as well as some of the trails near East 26th Street. If the land does get sold for housing development or for any other uses, the plans would be to expand East 26th Street eastbound and expand June Street southbound  to East 26th Street. East Erie Nature Trail Park will not be closed because of this but half of the park and trails to the north will be removed or demolished if the land does get sold.

 Domestic Fight Causes Police Presence in Diehl Article Written: March 11, 2021 at 8:43 AM The house where the fight happened. 2620 Fairmount Parkway Diehl, Erie Yesterday night at 8:40 PM, Erie Police responded to a domestic fight outside of an apartment house in the 2600 block of Fairmount Parkway in the Diehl neighborhood of East Erie. Erie Police stated that there was a boyfriend and girlfriend yelling and throwing objects at each other and in the street. Police made two arrests, 35 year old Misha Snyder and 30 year old Robert Johnson. Police tried their best to control the scene and one officer was assaulted by Robert. The scene was cleared up by 9:30 PM and officers also cleaned up most of the broken glass and mess on Fairmount Parkway. Erie Police are still investigating on what started the fight to begin with.

Four Wheelers or ATVs have been causing issues with annoying neighbors in the City of Erie. Riding Four Wheelers on city streets in the city of Erie, Pennsylvania is actually illegal and most riding is recommended on trails that its allowed on or in the country outside of Erie. But one neighborhood in Erie has been having the most problems with illegal riders and its Burton Heights. Today, Erie Police recieved the 3rd call reporting a group of illegal ATV riders who were riding up and down Downing Avenue & East 28th Street multiple times annoying neighbors and residents. New Subdivision Complex Coming to East Erie

 New Subdivision Complex Coming to East Erie Article Written: March 3, 2021 at 6:22 PM. A new subdivision housing complex will be coming to the East Erie very soon. "Vicini Del Lago" is the name of the new housing subdivision which will be built in the 2600 block of East 35th Street & Bird Drive in Eastlawn Hills. Plans are to start construction in the summer of 2021 and get most of it done by fall 2021 or 2022. Plans are to expand East 35th Street west bound of Bird Drive and create multiple homes that are worth 100K to 200K. This project will hope to improve East Erie and have more people move into the area, this will be also be East Erie's first subdivision neighborhood. Example of one of the homes planned. Plans are to expand East 35th Street in Eastlawn Hills as well as add other roads and expand other roads as well.
