 Authorities Investigating After Body Found in Park in Wesleyville Article Written: October 30, 2022 at 12:04 PM Pennsylvania State Police & Wesleyville Police Investigating after a report of a Body being Found in Fourmile Creek at Hinkler Park 3614 Edison Avenue Wesleyville, Pennsylvania Pennsylvania State Police and Wesleyville Police are currently investigating after a body was found in the Fourmile Creek at the Emory Red Hinkler Park in Wesleyville. Erie County Coroner, Lyell Cook was also at the scene to identify the victim. The body was found by a group of hikers on Saturday evening walking along the creek when the body was discovered facing down in the water, police were shortly called there after around 6:30 PM. Lyell Cook told State Police that he believed the victim died from natural causes but are still investigating just to be sure. Hinkler Park in Wesleyville is currently closed at this time until State Police and Wesleyville Police are finished with their investigatio

Makayla & Salavador, who have been married for 3 years, became homeless after their house in the 900 block of East 26th Street in Central Eastside was condemned in July by the City of Erie for sewage issues, forcing the couple with no where else to go. The store plans on being built in the Caughey Heights neighborhood of Millcreek in the 4200 block of West Ridge Road near McKee Road, right across the street from the Dollar Tree store, most Millcreek residents are not very happy about this.  One Dead After Police Chase in Reported Stolen Truck in Erie Article Written: October 16, 2022 at 12:24 PM The Stolen Red Truck Lost Control and Crashed in the 300 block of West 8th Street West Bayfront, Erie, Pennsylvania One man is dead after leading Erie Police on a high speed chase throughout the City of Erie. The pursuit began when an Erie Police officer attempted to pull the vehicle over in the 700 block of West 14th Street in the Little Italy neighborhood of Erie after the pickup truck was reported as stolen. The truck then took off northbound onto Liberty Street into the Bayfront neighborhood and turned right onto West 8th Street into the West Bayfront neighborhood at a high rate of speed. The truck then ran a red light at the intersection of West 8th Street & Chestnut Street where a driver hit the truck on Chestnut causing the truck to rollover multiple times and hit three parked cars along the 300 block of West 8th Street in West Bayfront.  High Speed Chase Ends in Crash in Southeast Erie Article Written: October 15, 2022 at 12:59 PM Erie Police were led on a high speed chase last night in East Erie. The chase started in the 3400 block of Pine Avenue in the South East Hills neighborhood of East Erie when Erie Police attempted to pull over a silver Chevrolet Trax. The Trax then took off northbound on Pine Avenue onto Ash Street in Marvintown onto Florida Street and East 30th Street. The car then got into the Southeast Erie neighborhood and went south onto East Avenue where they crashed into a pole on the corner of East 38th Street and East Avenue in the Southeast Erie neighborhood of East Erie. Erie Police then quickly arrested 20 year old, Zaquon Keyes of East Erie who reportedly stolen the car on Monday from the 700 block of East 22nd Street in Central Eastside.

 Summit Township Sam's Club Employee Dies Following Work Accident Article Written: October 12, 2022 at 11:11 AM The Sam's Club store where the accident took place. 7200 Peach Street Summit Township, Pennsylvania An employee at the Sam's Club store in Summit Township died after being hit by a loading dock door. 20 year old, Benjamin Knight Jr. of East Erie died at UPMC Hamot on October 7th caused by blunt force trauma from a hit to the head. The incident happened inside the door near the loading dock on September 30th when Benjamin was bring stock into the store from a truck, a spring broke in a rolling overhead door, causing it to fall on Knight during store hours, fellow employees called 911 and EmergyCare arrived to the store and quickly took Benjamin to UPMC Hamot in Downtown Erie where he died.  Fire Breaks Out in Burton Apartment Complex Leaving One Person Injured Article Written: October 11, 2022 at 4:01 PM Erie Fire Department responding to a Residential Fire call at the Harbor Homes Apartments 1902C Buffalo Road Burton, Erie, Pennsylvania One person was injured in a residential fire this morning. Calls came in for a large fire in the 1900 block of Buffalo Road near Thompson Street at the Harbor Homes Apartments in the Burton neighborhood of East Erie. Erie Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the fire and told us they saw heavy smoke and fire coming out of the building. One resident was injured from the flames and was taken to UPMC Hamot in Downtown Erie. The fire was only in one apartment building and didn't spread to the other apartments in the 1902C building but other residents were evacuated safely just in case. Erie Fire Department is still currently investigating.

 We Love Diehl: Community Members Helping a Small Struggling Eastside Neighborhood Article Written: October 1, 2022 at 12:51 PM "We Love Diehl" sign outside a house in the 2100 block of Fairmount Parkway Diehl Erie, Pennsylvania Neighbors in the Diehl neighborhood of East Erie have been putting "We Love Diehl" signs outside their homes. The signs are to support the Diehl neighborhood as well as the Diehl Elementary School, with the back of the sign saying "We Love Erie Public Schools". These signs were given out for free last Wednesday at the Diehl Elementary School at 2327 Fairmount Parkway in Diehl, to receive the sign you had to be a resident of the Diehl neighborhood. Local community members are also working on fixing the Diehl neighborhood, a small neighborhood in East Erie located near Burton, Eastlawn Hills and Wesleyville.
