 Multiple Shootings Throughout the City of Erie, Suspects Still at-large Article Written: May 10, 2025 10:15 AM Erie Police are still searching for suspects involved in multiple shooting and gun-related incidents throughout the City of Erie this week. As of now, Erie Police are unsure is the shooting incidents are possibly connected or if there are more people involved.  The first incident occurred on April 30th when Erie Police were dispatched to Rodger Young Park in the Burton neighborhood of East Erie for a report of an unknown male chasing people with a gun. The suspect was never found and still remains at-large.  The next day on May 1st, Shot Spotter alerted that shots had been fired in the area of East 8th Street and Parade Street in the Saint Mary neighborhood of East Erie.    Erie County Farms Gone, Owner Bails Out Leaving Everything Behind Article Written: May 8, 2025 1:30 PM Erie County Farms has been a long time staple in Erie for many years, originally located on West 26th Street in Brabender Park before moving to Perry Plaza in Burton Heights, the grocery store was originally owned by Natalie Pacileo of Erie, who sold the grocery store in 2017 to Super Price Choppers of Buffalo, New York. The grocery store was then sold again in 2019 to Mohammed Abuhamra of Rochester, New York. During this time, is when the supermarket began to fall apart by constant mismanagement as well as numerous health department violations for flies, rotten meat and other rotten food products. In January 2025, the owner of Perry Plaza sued Abuhamra for a breach of contract as well as not paying rent, Abuhamra did not show up for court. Joyce A. Savocchio Business Park, which had its name changed to Savocchio Opportunity Park in 2023 as major development was underway for the vacant business park. The business park which opened in 2005 had only one business which is Paragon Print Systems, well a new business has recently opened in the park. Integrated Agriculture Systems, located at 1811 Paragon Drive in the Burton neighborhood of East Erie, has recently opened their doors with bringing more jobs to the area.  Country Fair Opening Store in Downtown Erie Article Written: April 21, 2025 10:00 AM Country Fair Flagship Store 34 North Park Row Downtown Erie Erie, Pennsylvania Country Fair is opening a brand new convenience store in Downtown Erie, the new store will plan bring the food desert problem in Downtown Erie to a complete end. Country Fair says this new store is the Flagship Store of the whole chain and one of the largest locations. The store is having a soft opening tomorrow on April 22, and their grand opening will be May 7. The Country Fair store also plans to sell fruits, vegetables, and other options you would find at a grocery store, not typically sold at Country Fair stores.  Erie Police Investigating Armed Robbery at Convenience Store in Diehl Article Written: March 14, 2025 7:28 AM An Armed Robbery occurred on Tuesday at the Quick Stop. 2119 Buffalo Road Diehl, Erie, Pennsylvania Erie Police is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday at the Quick Stop in the 2100 block of Buffalo Road in the Diehl neighborhood of East Erie. The robbery occurred around 10:30 PM on March 11th. Police say two people made entry into the store, one of them armed with what appeared to be a .22 caliber rifle. The cashier armed herself with a knife, and a struggle ensued resulting in that cashier getting minor cuts on her hands. The suspects escaped with an undetermined amount of money. Erie Police is continuing to investigate.

Improvements Continue to Bayfront Parkway in Erie Article Written: January 31, 2025 at 8:47 AM A new Traffic Signal being installed West Bayfront Parkway & Cranberry Street Bayfront Erie, Pennsylvania PennDOT has been continuing their progress on the Bayfront Parkway improvement project, one of their improvements is almost completed which is adding a traffic signal at the intersection of West Bayfront Parkway and Cranberry Street in the Bayfront neighborhood of Erie. The intersection which previously had a pedestrian light that would flash if a pedestrian wanted to cross, PennDOT is hoping the new traffic signal will make the intersection a lot more safer for drivers and pedestrians. "The intersection of West Bayfront Parkway and Cranberry Street had been an issue for many years with pedestrians being unable to cross due to drivers not following the pedestrian light, hopefully this new traffic signal will make it easier for motorists coming off of Cranberry Street and pedestri...

Suspect Arrested in connection to Burton fatal Shooting

   Article Written: January 30, 2025 7:39 AM 18 year old Kyleshania Pacley of East Erie was arrested. A suspect was recently arrested for being involved in a fatal shooting that killed a 21 year old man. Kyleshania Pacley of East Erie was arrested on charges relating to murder, robbery and unlawful theft. The shooting happened on January 17th in the 1800 block of Fairmount Parkway in the Burton neighborhood of East Erie. Canon McGarvey of East Erie was shot outside of his car and died three days later at UPMC Hamot. It is also known that Kyleshania Pacley is the daughter of Mauris Pacley who was shot and killed in 2021 at Bogey's Tavern, located at 2105 Buffalo Road in the Diehl neighborhood of East Erie. Erie Police are currently looking into why the argument took place which caused the shooting.
