The Erie-based Speed Check convenience store chain will be opening another store location in Erie County, the first ever store located in Summit Township. Kulwant "Lucky" Singh of Millcreek Township, the CEO of the Speed Check chain, plans to open a new store in the 7300 block of Edinboro Road in Summit Township, the corner of Edinboro Road & Hershey Road. Lucky told us this earlier today. "This new gas station will most likely help with bringing new development along Route 99 here in Summit, with the Copperleaf Apartments nearby and the many shopping centers along Peach Street just a short drive away, this store will do incredibly well and bring more opportunities to the area." said Kulwant "Lucky" Singh"

Lucky opened his first Speed Check store in 2010 at 209 East 6th Street in the Saint Mary neighborhood of East Erie. Since then, Speed Check has grown to nine stores. The new Edinboro Road store will be the tenth store.

The new store is currently under construction and hopes to finish sometime by the end of 2025 or 2026.
