 Pro Waste Services hopes to buy Abandoned East Erie Home for Future Expansion Article Written: July 26, 2022 at 1:46 PM The Abandoned Home Pro Waste Services hopes to purchase. 743 East 18th Street Erie, Pennsylvania Pro Waste Services is hoping to purchase an abandoned home in the 700 block of East 18th Street in East Erie. Pro Waste is working with the City of Erie to acquire the home after the City placed a quick claim deed on the house in June, 2013. Pro Waste wants to demolish the house to expand their lot and make more room for future workshop buildings. Pro Waste Services did purchase the abandoned Hardy's Auto Service located at 735 East 18th Street in July, 2017 and quickly demolished the building to expand their company. Pro Waste is hoping to do the same with the abandoned house which is right next door to the lot.

 Teen Shot in Early Morning Southeast Erie Shooting Article Written: July 23, 2022 at 1:09 PM A 13 year old boy was arrested by Erie Police for shooting a 16 year old in the 2600 block of Wayne Street near East 26th Street in the Southeast Erie neighborhood of East Erie. The shooting occured outside a house at 12:30 am on Saturday. The 13 year old suspect is facing aggravated assault charges and is being held at the Edmund L. Thomas Adolescent Center in Millcreek Township. The 16 year old was flown to UPMC in Pittsburgh and is in critical condition.  Erie Police are still investigating the shooting and seeing if there were others involved.

Suspect arrested in Central Eastside shooting

 Suspect arrested in Central Eastside shooting Article Written: July 23, 2022 at 1:04 PM Erie Police have made an arrest after a morning shooting in the 500 block of East 24th Street near Ash Street in the Central Eastside neighborhood of East Erie. The shooting occurred Wednesday at 11 am where a victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. Erie Police say this is still an ongoing investigation.

 CVS in East Erie To Close Article Written: July 11, 2022 at 8:30 AM The CVS Pharmacy store at 1407 Buffalo Road to close permanently on August 9th. Burton Heights Erie, Pennsylvania The CVS Pharmacy location on the corner of Buffalo Road & Broad Street in Burton Heights will be permanently closing down very soon. The store has already started marking down prices of products and will soon be starting liquidations very soon. This comes after CVS announce to close about 200 of their under performing locations. Perscriptions at the Buffalo Road CVS will be transferred to either the Pine Avenue CVS at 3800 Pine Avenue in South East Hills in East Erie, or the Parade Street CVS at 410 East 12th Street in East Erie. There is no plans for the CVS building at Buffalo Road after the store closes down. The location will be closing down on August 9th, 2022.

Robbins Blass Robbins Blass is a neighborhood located in the west side of Erie and has about 1,000 people living there. It has one park which is Pebble Lake Park. The crime rate is Robbins Blass is very low but does sometimes have issues with car break-ins, however very rare and fellow neighbors watch out for each other.
