More Rite Aid stores were shut down recently in Erie County, leaving some neighborhoods without a pharmacy. Rite Aid closed multiple Erie County pharmacies, the two remaining Rite Aid stores in the City of Erie were also closed which were in Downtown Erie and South Erie Hillside. East 27th Street & German Street Marvintown, Erie, Pennsylvania Residents in the City of Erie are outraged after a Pennsylvania State Police Parole Officer shot and killed an unarmed Erie man Wednesday night. The shooting occurred around 10 PM at the intersection of East 27th Street and German Street in the Marvintown neighborhood of East Erie. The victim, which has been identified as 43 year old Marchello Woodard of Erie, was reportedly sitting in his car when Pennsylvania State Police decided to do a traffic stop on the vehicle. Woodard, who was on parole, was waiting for a family member while sitting in his car. The parole officer who began to talk to Woodard, Woodard allegedly took off and the officer began shooting at Woodard multiple times.
