 East Erie Rapper Charged with Murder After Admitting to Shooting of Elderly Man in East Erie

20 year old Demarjon Beason of East Erie was charged with murder after shooting of an elderly man in
 Central Eastside.
An East Erie rapper was charged by Erie Police for the violent shooting of an elderly man in the 900 block of East 21st Street in the Central Eastside neighborhood of East Erie. 85 year old, Douglas Richardson was killed around 8:20 PM, Tuesday evening after he was robbed by Demarjon of his groceries, Demarjon then pulled out a gun while Douglas allegedly began begging to Demarjon to not shoot. Douglas was shot 10 times as evidence by the gunshot wounds in Richardon's body. There were three extra shell casings found in a grass field on the corner of East 21st Street and Perry Street. Demarjon was reportedly a rapper and wrote a song about the death of Richardson and used audio of news clips talking about the death of Douglas. One of his lyrics in the song was "I'll kill an old b---- if I have to, won't be the first time I put these p---- n---- to the floor." After questioning by Erie Police, Demarjon ended up admitting to the killing and was quickly charged with third degree murder. Demarjon was charged in the past with first degree murder in December 2019 for the killing of a man, he was reportedly doing community services.
