Eddie’s Collectibles of Erie towing an illegally parked car. 3900 Block of Lewis Avenue South East Hills, Erie, Pennsylvania The City of Erie had ticketed and towed a number of cars illegally parked all along Lewis Avenue in the South East Hills neighborhood of East Erie, just behind Mercyhurst University. Car lines both sides of the streets even though they are designated as opposite side parking. The streets were so full of cars that plows and emergency vehicles could not get through. Neighbors in South East Hills said they were incredibly happy that something was finally done about the illegally parked cars. Cars were also towed in the 2000 Block of Woodlawn Avenue in Burton and the 4000 Block of McClelland Avenue in Garden Heights.

Erie Police said that numerous gunshots were fired in and around a house in the 3900 block of McClelland Avenue in Garden Heights in East Erie. Police were called at 12:07 am to investigate a report of a male in the roadway according to Lt. Sue Szocki.  Erie Police were direct red to a house at 3904 McClelland Avenue in Garden Heights just right off of East 38th Street. Erie Police stated that the house was an Airbnb rental property and was being rented at the time to people from Arizona.  East Erie Man Killed after telling driver to Slow Down Article written: April 27, 2009 at 10:15 am A 30 year old East Erie man was shot dead after telling a driver to slow down while speeding through a residential neighborhood. Erie Police say Jayson Sack died Saturday after he was shot in the 2200 block of East 20th Street near Franklin Avenue in the Diehl neighborhood of East Erie. 22 year old Joel Atkin of Millcreek was charged with first degree murder, homicide and other related charges. Jayson’s brother, Vinny told Erie Police that the family was having a barbecue Saturday afternoon when the car came speeding by. He says his brother called out to the driver to slow down and the driver came out of the car and pointed a gun at him. He says Jayson tried to disarm the man and was shot in the abdomen.
