Erie Police are still searching for the suspects involved in a deadly shooting early Thursday morning. Erie Police said that numerous gunshots were fired in and around a house in the 3900 block of McClelland Avenue in Garden Heights in East Erie. Police were called at 12:07 am to investigate a report of a male in the roadway according to Lt. Sue Szocki.  Erie Police were direct red to a house at 3904 McClelland Avenue in Garden Heights just right off of East 38th Street. Erie Police stated that the house was an Airbnb rental property and was being rented at the time to people from Arizona. A spokeswoman with Airbnb, in an email sent to Erie Times-News Thursday afternoon, stated that, referring to the property, “there was a listing on Airbnb at the time of the incident but there was no Airbnb reservation at the time. We have no knowledge or connection to the people who were in the home or why they were there.” A resident who lives on McClelland Avenue in Garden Heights told us “Garden Heights is such a quiet neighborhood, I’ve lived here for 40 years and I’ve never seen something like this happen in this neighborhood.” Erie Police are continuing to investigate the murder shooting as they look as more security footage in the area.
