Volunteers that were hired from the House of Mercy in Burton as well as extra volunteers from the Burton Neighborhood Watch Team helped out today to clean up the garbage in the illegal dumping hotspot areas in the Burton and Burton Heights neighborhoods of East Erie. "It feels good to help the neighborhood out and make it a lot cleaner and safer for the community." says Jackson Miller of East Erie, a volunteer at House of Mercy Erie. House of Mercy is also asking for more volunteers to help out the process, if you would like to volunteer you can go to the House of Mercy office at 2005 Woodlawn Avenue in Burton or call (814) 898-0167. The Burton Neighborhood Watch Team Offices are located at 2302 Downing Avenue in Burton and if you would like to volunteer for them you are required to go to the office.
