Burton Elementary School Listing (Howard Hanna) The Abandoned Burton Elementary School at 1660 Buffalo Road in Burton, was put up for sale once again this month. The school was shut down in 2012 and was put up for sale in 2017 by the Erie School District, it was then bought and the building was not used for anything but storage, the building would have its grass mowed and it would get boarded up when more windows got broken. Then in May, 2021, it was put up for sale once again for a price of $389,000. It appears that the lot is a lot more valuable than the school building is, so there is also a possibility if the building gets bought, that it will be demolished. As of right now, there is still no plans for the old elementary school since the building is for sale but we will keep you updated on what happens.
