 Investigation Continues after 2-year-old Found Dead in East Erie

Erie Police are investigating the death of a toddler who was found on East 16th Street. Erie Police were called to the scene February 29th at 7 am for a missing child. Authorities found the missing 2-year-old girl dead outside the Lake City Dwellings apartments in the 300 block of East 16th Street in the Central City neighborhood of East Erie. Police believe the toddler most likely succumbed to elements. Residents in Central City are left shaken after the recent news hit their eastside neighborhood. "It's going to take a big effect over here, to be honest nobody's going to want to come outside or kids are going to play together anymore, it's going to be real rough." says Ryan Johnson of East Erie. "Everyone here is scared, we are all watching our children very closely now after what has happened, this incident has made our neighborhood heartbroken." says Anush Hasheed of East Erie.

 No Confirmation of Body Found in Lawrence Park is of Missing Lawrence Park Woman Article Added: November 15, 2023 at 2:04 PM Lawrence Park Police and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a tragic sight Wednesday morning in Lawrence Park. Lawrence Park Fire Department was called to the Lawrence Park Golf Club at 3700 East Lake Road in Lawrence Park where a body of a woman was found at the mouth of Fourmile Creek. Lawrence Park Police and Pennsylvania State Police have blocked off Fourmile Creek Road, East Lake Road to Lawrence Parkway, Iroquois Avenue and Nobel Avenue while the investigation is ongoing. Erie County Coroner, Lyell Cook has not released the name of the victim but has stated that there is no fowl play involved.
