May 16, 2023 Quick Stop 408 West 18th Street Little Italy, Erie, Pennsylvania On May 16, 2023 around 7:45 PM, a shooting occurred inside the Quick Stop convenience store in the 400 block of West 18th Street in the Little Italy neighborhood of Erie. 26 year old Jaquan Harris of Erie was later identified and charged two days later in the shooting which killed 21 year old Jalen Rieger-Williams of Erie. Jaquan Harris was later charged with criminal homicide and first-degree murder. Multiple witnesses in the area heard about a dozen gunshots and took off to take cover. This wasn’t the first time a shooting took place at the Quick Stop store, in October 2021, 26 year old Kyontia Blanks of Erie shot and killed 40 year old Frederick Perry of Erie outside the store in the parking lot. “Where this convenience store is located is a definitely a problem area,

 East Erie Man Arrested For Attempting to Kidnap Woman in Drug Store Parking Lot Article Written: May 3, 2023 at 6:32 PM An East Erie man was charged last night with attempted abduction while trying to kidnap multiple women in the parking lot of a Rite Aid. This occurred around 11 PM Tuesday evening in the parking lot of Rite Aid at 353 East 6th Street near Parade Street in the Saint Mary neighborhood of East Erie. Erie Police arrested 47 year old Ryan Riley of East Erie after being caught on security camera attempted to lure multiple women into his vehicle, one of the women he grabbed and tried to force into his vehicle. Riley will be charged at Erie County Courthouse with attempted abduction, indecent assault and battery, more charges are still pending as the situation is being investigated.

 Erie Police Investigating Car Break Ins in South East Hills Article Written: May 3, 2023 at 6:02 PM Erie Police is currently investigating multiple car break in that occurred last night in the South East Hills neighborhood of East Erie. Erie Police were called to the CVS parking lot at  3800 Pine Avenue in South East Hills around 9 PM Tuesday evening to multiple juvenile smashing multiple car windows and breaking into vehicles. Erie Police arrived quickly and arrested three juvenile males and the other three took off on foot and were quickly found. The two other juveniles were tracked down in the 700 block of East 41st Street in South East Hills and the other was found in the 900 block of East 43rd Street near Lake Pleasant Road in South East Hills. Erie Police are still investigating the situation.
