 Franklin Park Shooting Causes Mystery

Erie Police are investigating after a shooting occurred in the Franklin Park neighborhood of East Erie. Erie County 911 received multiple calls for shots fired in the area of East Lake Road and Franklin Avenue between Lawrence Park and East Erie around 6:15 PM, Saturday evening. After Lawrence Park Police and Erie Police searched around Lawrence Park and East Erie, Police found 5 shell casings in the 2100 block of East 7th Street in Franklin Park, located in the John E. Horan Garden Apartment complex. No one was reported injured and police believe nobody was a target in the shooting. Erie Police believe somebody shot 5 times into the air with a .43 caliber pistol and took off. Police are currently working with the Erie Housing Authority to look at security footage of the incident on East 7th Street and Franklin Avenue in East Erie.

 No Confirmation of Body Found in Lawrence Park is of Missing Lawrence Park Woman Article Added: November 15, 2023 at 2:04 PM Lawrence Park Police and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a tragic sight Wednesday morning in Lawrence Park. Lawrence Park Fire Department was called to the Lawrence Park Golf Club at 3700 East Lake Road in Lawrence Park where a body of a woman was found at the mouth of Fourmile Creek. Lawrence Park Police and Pennsylvania State Police have blocked off Fourmile Creek Road, East Lake Road to Lawrence Parkway, Iroquois Avenue and Nobel Avenue while the investigation is ongoing. Erie County Coroner, Lyell Cook has not released the name of the victim but has stated that there is no fowl play involved.
