Car Break-In Thieves Now Hitting Lower Eastside Neighborhoods

Last night, the same two car break-in thieves that were mentioned in the previous article were spotted once again early in the morning checking and breaking into cars, this time in East Erie's Lower Eastside Neighborhood. Cameras caught the suspects checking cars in the 100 block of Hess Avenue in the Bay Lights neighborhood of East Erie. The same two suspects walked east on East Lake Road into Kingtown checking cars in the 1400 block of East Lake Road. During 3 am, the suspects were caught on camera in the 1900 block of Lakeside Drive in the Lakeside neighborhood of East Erie. The two suspects got into cars in the 2100 block of East 2nd Street in Lakeside and smashed the window of a car in the 200 block of Chautauqua Boulevard in Lakeside. Erie Police don't know which direction the suspects walked on East Lake Road whether if they stayed in East Erie or Lawrence Park, but Erie Police do believe there was a car parked somewhere on East Lake Road that picked up and dropped off the two suspects as they were not seen walking back on any other nearby security cameras. Erie Police is continuing to investigate the car break-ins and to track the suspects down.
