 Harborcreek Starbucks Plans Moved to Giant Eagle Plaza Added Article: December 14, 2022 at 9:44 AM Sign outside the empty grass lot in the parking lot of Giant Eagle Plaza. 4100 block of Buffalo Road Harborcreek Township, Pennsylvania The plans for the Harborcreek Starbucks location was moved to the empty grass lot behind Rite Aid in the parking lot of the Giant Eagle Plaza on Buffalo Road in Harborcreek. This news comes after Snap Fitness relocated out of the Giant Eagle Plaza to East 38th Street in Erie due to high rent. The building that was originally intended for Starbucks at 4625 Buffalo Road was completed but is now for rent after Starbucks decided to build in the 4100 block of Buffalo Road. The move was to be closer to the new Dunkin' Donuts located at 4005 Buffalo Road for competition which is still under construction and nearly complete. Downtown Erie is divided into three different districts, Lower Bayfront, Center City and Upper Midtown. The neighborhood runs from Bayfront Parkway to the north, West 14th Street/East 14th Street to the south and is between Sassafras Street and Holland Street. Downtown Erie was founded in 1815 and the first building that was built in Downtown was the Perry Memorial House, located at 201 French Street in Downtown Erie, the building later became known as Dickson Tavern during the prohibition.  Erie's Midtown Neighborhood Growing  Article Written: December 8, 2022 at 10:45 AM Map of the Midtown neighborhood in East Erie Midtown, Erie, Pennsylvania The story of Midtown Erie is a success story, from a once struggling crime ridden neighboorhood in the city, to a safe, calm, beautiful and newly developed homes always being planned for the neighborhood. Midtown was founded in 1953 and ran from Holland Street to Parade Street between East 12th Street and East 14th Streets in East Erie. The neighborhood was known for it's many churches, the Erie Farm Products Company and being in close proximity to Watson Paper Company where many residents in Midtown worked at. Overtime, the factories closed, the churches relocated and many homes in the area became abandoned and condemned. Plans to revitalize Midtown came in 2007 to demolish the abandoned factories, houses and churches in the neighborhood, as a result, HANDS stepped in and demolished some of the former church properties and

Two People Involved in Marvintown Shooting Article Written: December 6, 2022 at 6:39 AM One man was seriously injured following an overnight shooting in East Erie. Calls went out for shots fired in the 2900 block of German Street near East 29th Street in the Marvintown neighborhood of East Erie around 1:30 am Monday. According to Erie Police, when they arrived they found a man laying on the road who suffered a gunshot wound. Erie Police found that two people were involved in the shooting and one of the people knew the victim. Erie Police are still currently investigating.
