Erie Teen Charged in Saint Mary Shooting

An Erie teen was charged as an adult for shooting at an adult male in the Saint Mary neighborhood of East Erie on Saturday. 16 year old, Ashton Tolbert of West Bayfront was charged with attempted homicide for shooting a 39 year old man in the 800 block of German Street in Saint Mary. The victim was found a block away in the 200 block of East 8th Street near Holland Street in Saint Mary. The victim was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound to his shoulder. Despite Tolbert's age, he will be charged as an adult for the shooting.

Kulwant "Lucky" Singh, owner and operator of Speed Check, opened a brand new Speed Check store, the first store located in Millcreek. The new store is located at the former Gulf at 2747 West 12th Street near Filmore Avenue in the Avondale neighborhood of Millcreek Township. Lucky says this is just the beginning of expanding his Speed Check convenience store throughout the Erie area.
