A fight broke out during an Erie High School football game last Friday. The fight occurred around 8:35 pm at Veterans Memorial Stadium in the Marvintown neighborhood of East Erie. The fight was apparently caused by four Erie High parents during the football game between Erie High School of Erie and Buffalo State College of Buffalo. Erie Police responded to the fight and students were told to evacuate the stadium as they handle the situation. The four Erie High parents were charged with Disorderly Conduct. After the situation calmed down, students were allowed back to the stadium and the football game continued with Buffalo State winning with a 27-7. The game continued without further incidents. Last year on September 3rd, a massive fight occurred between Erie High students during a football game at Veterans Memorial Stadium which led to Erie Police using pepperspray on a few individuals. Erie Police are still investigating on what caused the 2022 fight and working on getting more security at the Marvintown football stadium.
