 Last Day for East Erie CVS Comes Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the last day of operation at the CVS Pharmacy location at 1407 Buffalo Road in Burton Heights in East Erie. The company announced in early July that the Buffalo Road CVS would close after the company announced they would be closing 200 of their locations, Buffalo Road being one of them. The Burton Heights CVS will be permanently closed tomorrow on August 9, 2022. We spoke to some residents who were walking in the areas of Buffalo Road and Broad Street to see what their thoughts were on the closure. "I honestly think it's ridiculous, this pharmacy was also so convenient for me since it is just a block or so away from my house. It's already hard for me to walk so now the only way I can get my perscriptions is to either find a way to take a bus to the CVS on 12th & Parade or somehow Uber there which will cost me a lot of money that I don't have a lot of." says Brooklyn Dozier of East Erie. "I'm pretty sure this building is just gonna end up vacant and abandoned for years and years until it gets torn down, it would be nice if they would open a new pharmacy here so it would be nice for us here in Burton but corporate companies just don't care for the people in low income neighborhoods." says Dazhae Jennings of East Erie. CVS had created a list for the other CVS locations that will remain open in the Erie area. The copy of that list will be below.

 No Confirmation of Body Found in Lawrence Park is of Missing Lawrence Park Woman Article Added: November 15, 2023 at 2:04 PM Lawrence Park Police and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a tragic sight Wednesday morning in Lawrence Park. Lawrence Park Fire Department was called to the Lawrence Park Golf Club at 3700 East Lake Road in Lawrence Park where a body of a woman was found at the mouth of Fourmile Creek. Lawrence Park Police and Pennsylvania State Police have blocked off Fourmile Creek Road, East Lake Road to Lawrence Parkway, Iroquois Avenue and Nobel Avenue while the investigation is ongoing. Erie County Coroner, Lyell Cook has not released the name of the victim but has stated that there is no fowl play involved.
