This house may just look like a home currently going through renovations, but neighbors in Burton say it’s looked like this for almost 2 years now. “This house has looked in this shape since 2019 and it only took them 6 months to build and finish a house on Pear & Woodlawn. It should not take this long to repair a house.” says Mark Hopkins who lives on Downing Avenue. The house is located in the 1700 block of Glendale Avenue and has been vacant since a fire happened in the kitchen in May, 2018. The home was abandoned until a contractor was hired to repair the home in December, 2019 but hasn’t done that much work to it besides add a door to the side and add a new front entrance. Neighbors in the Erie neighborhood have been complaining non stop about this house to the City of Erie but nothing has been done.
