Country Fair says this new store is the Flagship Store of the whole chain and one of the largest locations. The store is having a soft opening tomorrow on April 22, and their grand opening will be May 7. The Country Fair store also plans to sell fruits, vegetables, and other options you would find at a grocery store, not typically sold at Country Fair stores. The building was previously the Flagship City Public Market that had opened in 2022 to bring a grocery store in Downtown Erie, the market however closed in 2024 due to the tenants Erie Food Co-op and Gordon's Butcher & Market leaving.
